We bring substantial and diverse health care, strategic and operational consulting, business development, program management, training and change leadership expertise to the table.
EP partners with executives and their teams on select engagements to drive meaningful change.
Projects focus across a range of the Enterprise's most pressing issues, including business model transformation, medical cost affordability, service improvement, new services and products, administrative cost containment, and regulatory compliance.
Our consultants help to resolve complex issues, identify new opportunities, and quickly drive results by applying strategic insight, intellectual honesty, and analytical structure. This approach, when joined with the deep knowledge of the business provided by segment personnel, enables a comprehensive approach to supporting some of the organization's most critical change programs.
EP team members can expect to be exposed to a wide variety of topics and situations across multiple segments and business functions. EP typically places only one or two people in influential roles as part of larger teams, and generally asks individuals to work on two initiatives concurrently. The environment is challenging and fast-paced, requiring: flexibility in delivering against assigned tasks, ability to work in diverse areas of healthcare, and occasional travel.
Team members are expected to have a high level of energy, a passion for driving value and making a positive impact both within and beyond UnitedHealth Group, and have an ability to think in an innovative manner. Primary Responsibilities: Rapid Assessment Strategy and Business Case Development Business Capability Design and Implementation Value Realization Planning and Management Change / Program Leadership Senior Management Presentation and Engagement Influencing and Developing Others (e.g.
a Project Team or a Direct Report) Other Deliverable Creation (e.g.
analytics, roots cause assessments, growth strategies) Facilitating groups and teams and getting to consensus and collaboration Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 3 or more years of experience in consulting (ideally traditional health care management or other relevant business) with project emphasis in strategy, finance, cost containment, product or process improvement 3 or more years of experience in project and program management, business case management, and change management Experience developing and implementing change into a large and complex organization, as supported by documented outcomes Advanced level of proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint Ability to travel 25% Preferred Qualifications MBA, MA, MHA, or equivalent experience Experience at a management consulting firm Experience in the payer and provider segments of the health care industry Exposure to problem solving methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent (i.e.
Green Belt or Black Belt) Soft Skills: Self-directed professional Strong analytic and problem solving experience Excellent interpersonal skills with experience working with executive levels of an organization Careers at UnitedHealth Group.
