MIS Technical Support Specialist

Provides summary reports and data to external clients, regulatory agencies, or management in operations, compliance, marketing, and/or product groups. Information provided may be used for risk assessment, business development or profitability optimization analysis. Researches and resolves problems and errors in data from MIS reporting systems to ensure accurate information.

The daily responsibilities of this position are:

- Execute automated processes (MS Access Databases)

- Monitor the MIS Shared email accounts for incoming requests

- Execute template data queries upon request (templated reports)

- Work simple MIS requests (maintenance, audit, and production issues)

- Escalate remaining requests to higher-tier team members


Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Management or a related field, or equivalent work experience

- One to three years of experience in data management and reporting activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Basic proficiency in MS Excel, Access, VBA and SQL

- Working knowledge of data management concepts, data mining and other reporting skills

- On the job work experience creating forms in MS Access

- On the job work experience writing simple VBA code

- On the job work experience creating complex Excel spreadsheets

- Experience using MS Access queries to pull data from external data sources

- Creating simple SQL joins to combine data sets
